Access injury recovery support without always travelling to the clinic

Access injury recovery support without always travelling to the clinic
Telehealth can make ongoing injury management more accessible for patients who live further away, have mobility limitations or need a suitable follow-up consultation without attending in person.

Telehealth may be suitable for
- All GP services where Telehealth is clinically appropriate.
- Selected follow-up GP reviews.
- Recovery progress discussions.
- Review of treatment plans and referral progress.
- Selected claim-related medical follow-up where an in-person examination is not required.
- Patients in any location in Australia, subject to clinical suitability.
When an in-person appointment may be required
An initial assessment can be completed via Telehealth; however, face-to-face assessment is preferred. As part of our procedures, we try to have patients physically attend the clinic at least once a month. Some injuries, physical examinations, procedures or claim requirements may require attendance at Lakemba or Prestons. The team will advise the appropriate appointment type based on the purpose of the consultation.
